Can you believe today is the first day of March? Last month flew by, but I am SO excited Spring is on its way! The first day of March means St. Patrick’s Day is on its way too, and today I’m sharing a super fun St. Patty’s Day Scavenger Hunt you can do with your kids!
I first saw the idea for this cute scavenger hunt on Pinterest from The Crafting Chicks. I don’t go overboard celebrating or decorating for the small holidays, but I thought my boys would have so much fun with a little scavenger hunt to celebrate their Irish heritage!
Start by printing the “lucky” clues I created. There are 3 pages of clues so make sure you print each one. You can find them all here:
Next, cut each page in half to separate all the clues and roll them up. Tie a a string or ribbon around each clue to hold in place.
Now get a small container and fill it with treasure for your little ones to find! I found this green basket at Dollar Tree and loaded it with lots of gold candies like peanut butter cups, caramel candies, and Rolo’s. I even found a $1,000,00 bill chocolate bar to add to the “pot of gold”!
Now it’s time to hide the clues! Clue #2 goes in the refrigerator:
Clue # 3 goes in a shoe:
Clue #4 goes by a door:
And the last paper and the treasure go on your child’s bed:
Now give your kiddos the first two pages: the scavenger hunt instructions and clue #1. Tell them a leprechaun came to visit, and watch them find their treasure!
